LaGuardia Redevelopment Community Outreach
LaGuardia Airport’s community outreach efforts have prioritized transparency, inclusion, and meaningful engagement with local residents and businesses throughout the redevelopment process. The project set a New York State record with over $2 billion awarded to Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and $800 million in contracts to Queens-based businesses. Through job fairs, public meetings, and a dedicated Community Outreach Office, the airport has built lasting partnerships and ensured local communities benefit from its transformation.
LaGuardia Community Outreach Office
The LaGuardia Airport Community Outreach Office serves as a direct link between the airport and the surrounding neighborhoods. Located in East Elmhurst, the office provides updates on construction, hosts public information sessions, and connects local residents and businesses to job and contracting opportunities. It reflects the airport’s ongoing commitment to transparency, engagement, and community partnership.
